Native Spanish-speaking and multi-cultural professionals take great effort to assure
that the materials will be understood
by all students in the U.S.

1. All materials are translated by a team of translators with advanced degrees in translation and expertise in the educational subject matter. Many of the translators are former K-12 and/or college educators in the subject areas they are translating.
   
   
2. The translated materials are reviewed and edited by the Translation Team Leaders. All translations are done off-shore in our offices in Mexico and Uruguay, and also by our dedicated team of freelancers throughout Latin America. Our staff translators and their Team Leaders, as well as our freelance translators, have worked exclusively with SSE on educational projects for the past 10 years, assuring a continuum of terminology for each of our clients.
   
   
3. Editing and proofreading of translated materials is done by SSE's native staff editors, all of whom have advanced degrees in Spanish and/or translation, are former educators, and have lived in the U.S. for a minimum of five years, making them completely bicultural. They are responsible for assuring that the finished product will be understood by the different nationalities of Spanish-speaking students in the U.S.
   
   
4. Production/composition quality control (both domestic, hybrid, and offshore) includes a variety of quality-driven processes. Continuous training of technicians in the U.S. and India, implementation and analysis of standardized processes, creation of templates, workflow maps, and file management procedures. Production proofreaders review pages for style and ensure that changes, if applicable, have been implemented correctly. There is a separate review of the application files for color usage, layer structure, image resolution, and trims and bleeds. Finally, all PDF files are proofed and reviewed against the client's confirming proof.
